Through performances, public events, workshops, and community gatherings, Revival Hall helps preserve and grow Oakland’s cultural life while creating paid opportunities for artists and cultural workers.

Revival Hall is building the foundation for a community resilience hub in Oakland, supporting preparedness before, during, and after moments of crisis.
This includes shelter, food access, free resources, emergency preparedness, mutual aid coordination, harm reduction, and community safety training.

About the Building
Revival Hall (formerly Omni Commons) is a place where culture, movement, and community resilience unite under one roof. The 22,000 sq. ft. building hosts spaces of varying sizes for organizers, mutual aid projects, community gatherings, and cultural programming.
The building was constructed in 1933 and was conceived as the meeting hall for The Ligure Club, an Italian garbagemen's social club. In 2014, the building was purchased and named by the Omni Commons Collective in the wake of the Occupy Movement to provide Oaklanders with diverse resources and multiple meeting spaces.
Revival Hall was saved from foreclosure and purchased by the Collective Action and Land Liberation Institute (CALLI) in 2024, and is currently stewarded by the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative (EB PREC) to protect and foster cultural spaces where artists, activists, and culture-bearers can preserve and build upon Oakland's radical legacy.
